If you are wondering whether Headout is legit, it is: a US company with more than 64,000 reviews on Trustpilot and a 4.4 rating. But for a Palma trip built around the sea it gives you nothing that GetYourGuide or Tiqets do not, and its payment and refund terms are less favourable. That is why we review it but do not link to it.

What Headout is and who runs it
Headout is a tickets-and-activities platform owned by Headout Inc., a Delaware company with an address in New York. Like the other platforms, it is an intermediary: it sells the ticket and the supplier (the cathedral, the cave, the bus company) provides the service.
What Headout sells in Mallorca
Headout's range on the island is short:
- Palma Cathedral, skip-the-line ticket: 4.6 from around 1,700 reviews.
- Cathedral with terraces: 4.6 from around 210 reviews.
- Coves dels Hams, on the Manacor to Porto Cristo road (Ma-4020).
- Two products with a boat: a Coves del Drac combo with a boat, and Palma's sightseeing bus with a boat trip.
It has no catamarans around the bay, sunset trips, private boats or dolphin-watching trips. For those, see our guides to catamarans, sunset boat trips and dolphin watching.
Fees and prices
Headout adds a service fee at checkout, so the price you see on the listing is not what you end up paying. We do not quote its prices: what counts is the final total, fee included.
What we do know is the benchmark: the official cathedral ticket costs €10 (cathedral and museum) or €25 with terraces, and GetYourGuide and Tiqets sell the basic ticket from €11. Before paying on Headout, compare the total with the fee included.

Cancellation and refunds
Headout's terms say you can only cancel when the supplier's conditions allow it. If there is a refund, Headout pays it within 7 days of receiving the money from the supplier, and it may do so in Headout Credits, a balance for future purchases that cannot be exchanged for cash. Under the "Headout Promise", the platform tries to resolve the problem before it gets to a refund.
At the cathedral, the official ticket cannot be changed or refunded once confirmed either, so on any platform your flexibility depends on what each listing says.
What travellers say
When we checked, Headout had 4.4 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 64,118 reviews, 14 % of them one-star. Recurring complaints concern confusion over tickets, rigid cancellations and refunds. The high rating sits alongside 14 % of very unhappy customers.
When to book direct or on another platform
- Cathedral: the official shop sells the €10 ticket and the €25 ticket with terraces with no middleman fees. Remember there are no tourist visits on Sundays. More in our Palma Cathedral guide.
- Coves del Drac: the official website sells tickets online for less than at the ticket office (€18.50 against €19.50), with a time slot and no refund if you arrive late. We cover it in day trips.
- Sightseeing bus with a boat: Tiqets sells it from €46; see our Palma hop-on hop-off bus guide.
- Boats around the bay: GetYourGuide has the widest range, with free cancellation up to 24 h before on most listings.
