If you are reading Cruceros Costa de Calvià reviews, the main point is this: it is a family company from Magaluf with simple boats and reasonable prices, boarding on the same beach as your hotel, but it mixes up boat names and does not keep its website up to date.
Verdict
3.3/ 5
Good value on the glass-bottom trip (€30 for two hours) and on the ferry from Palma (€20), and departures from three Calvià beaches with no need to go to the port. We take points off for the confusion between the Britannia Jet and the Esmeralda Dos, for a website showing dates from past seasons and for the scant information on capacity and cancellation on its own pages.

Who Cruceros Costa de Calvià are
Cruceros Costa de Calvià, S.A. is a boat company based in Calvià with an office on Avenida de Magalluf. Mallorca.com and Click-Mallorca describe it as a family business with more than 40 years in the bay. It answers the phone from 10:00 to 15:00 and has sales points in Magaluf, Torrenova and Palmanova. Its company details are in the general conditions on its website.
It has three boats, and this is where almost all the confusion comes from:
- Esmeralda Dos: a three-deck semi-submersible catamaran, with a sun deck on top, bar and toilet on the main deck and an underwater viewing area. It does the 2-hour glass-bottom trip, which the company sells as "Dolphin".
- Britannia Jet: the big boat, with slides. It does the Day at Sea and the trip to Palma.
- Limitless: a 30-seat speedboat.
Some agencies advertise the glass-bottom trip as "Britannia Jet": if you book under that name expecting slides, you will end up on the Esmeralda Dos.

The Esmeralda Dos glass-bottom trip
It leaves Magaluf beach at 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00, calls at Son Matias ten minutes later and Palmanova fifteen minutes later. It follows the western coast of the Bay of Palma, with islets, coves and beaches. Click-Mallorca sells it at the same price and adds that there is a swim stop if the sea allows and ice creams on board. The company does not publish the capacity or guarantee the swim stop.
Best seat
Palmanova is the last stop, fifteen minutes after Magaluf. If you want a place by the windows in the underwater area, board at Magaluf.
"Dolphin" is a name, not a promise
The trip follows the coast and does not go looking for dolphins; mallorca.com points out that sightings are not guaranteed. If dolphins are your goal, look at Palma Cruises or the dolphin watching guide.
Day at Sea and the Limitless speedboat
The Day at Sea is 4 hours on the Britannia Jet, with slides, food and soft drinks, beer or sangria included. It leaves on Wednesdays and Sundays from Magaluf at 11:10, Son Matias at 11:20 and Palmanova at 11:30, and gets back around 16:45. The Limitless is the fast option: two hours to the Malgrats islands, anchoring to swim or snorkel, 30 seats.
From Magaluf to Palma and from Palma to Magaluf
The Palma City trip leaves Magaluf on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 10:00 (Son Matias 10:15, Palmanova 10:20), lands at around 11:30 at the Escala Real, opposite the Lonja, and picks up there at around 15:30 to be back at about 16:15. That is roughly 4 free hours in Palma for €32, return.
In the other direction there is a daily ferry from Palma's Paseo Marítimo at 09:30 and 11:00, for €20 (children €10), returning from Magaluf at 17:00 or 18:00. There is no "€32 Magaluf–Palma ferry": the €32 is the Tuesday and Saturday day trip.
If you want to go to Palma on another day, the TIB 104 bus links Magaluf and Palma daily and far more often. Everything that leaves from this area is in boat trips from Palmanova and Magaluf.

What travellers say
There are few independent reviews and they are scattered. A mallorca.com listing shows 2.9 out of 5 on Google, but from only 13 reviews, too small a sample to draw conclusions. The same listing points out that dolphin sightings are not guaranteed on the "Dolphin", because the trip follows the coast.

How to book and check the season
The online shop takes cards, and under-18s must be accompanied by an adult. You can also buy at its sales points in Magaluf, Torrenova and Palmanova. Its pages don't explain what happens if you cancel a direct booking or whether you get your money back when the sea stops the trip: ask before paying. If you buy through Click-Mallorca, cancellation is free up to 24 hours before.
Confirm dates before you go
The footer of the company's website still shows a past year, and the ferry page advertises availability from 15 May of an earlier season. It does not publish the current season's dates, although Click-Mallorca was still selling glass-bottom trips in October. Ring the office, from 10:00 to 15:00, or ask at a sales point.
In the bay, the embat (the south-westerly afternoon sea breeze) picks up from midday. The 11:00 glass-bottom departure usually has the calmest sea, and with stiller water you see the seabed better (when to go out on a boat).
