The Oasis Catamaran reviews from Mallorca come down to the format: fewer people on board, a stand-up paddleboard for everyone and a barbecue at Cala Vella. It is the choice for couples and groups of adults who want space; for a family on a budget, Magic is better value.

Who Oasis Catamaran are

Behind Oasis Catamaran is Nautical Adventures S.L., with an office at Avenida Gabriel Roca 16 on Palma's Paseo Marítimo and phone number +34 672 100 424. It is an independent company: it has no connection with Magic Catamarans, even though they share a quay and coves. The company details are in its legal notice.

It has its own kitchen on shore, on the Paseo Marítimo.

The three Oasis boats

Boat Seats (per the fleet page) Length Boarding Private charter
Oasis II ("Premium", 2023) 70 18 m Golondrinas quay from €1,890
Oasis Lux (the original boat) 45 15.23 m Escala Real from €1,290
Oasis Blue 25 13.61 m Golondrinas quay from €990

Careful with the numbers: the Oasis II listing says 84 seats and the fleet page 70; the Deluxe listing says the Lux has 57 and the fleet page 45. What matters is the maximum per trip: 55 on the Oasis II and 36 on the Lux. Private charters on the fleet page and in private boat hire in Palma.

What it offers: trips and prices

Like the other big Palma catamarans, Oasis crosses the bay to the south-east, to the Llucmajor coast: Cueva Verde (Cova Verda) and Cala Vella, not Portals Vells.

Trip Boat and group Times What's included Adult
Premium "Day trip at Sea" Oasis II, max. 55 09:30–15:00 or 15:30–21:00 Appetiser and swim at Cueva Verde, barbecue at Cala Vella, water, SUP €89 in spring and autumn / €93 from 1 June to 14 September

Small Groups Oasis Blue, max. 22 10:30–15:00 or 15:45–20:15 Glass of cava, nibbles, SUP €99 / €109 from 1 June to 15 September
Sunset "Only Adults" Oasis Lux 4 h depending on sunset, from 17:00 Welcome cava, nibbles, dessert, SUP, 1 stop €78 / €82 in summer

Children: on the Premium, ages 4 to 10 pay €75 and babies go free; on the Deluxe, €65. The Premium page shows a 5% discount for booking online. Watch the dates: the website puts the Premium season between late April and October, but its price table starts on 1 April; if you are travelling in April, confirm there is a departure. Sunset trips are adults only, and on some special days they run on the Oasis II with tapas and canapés (€82).

Which one to choose

  • For a full day with two swims: the Premium on the Oasis II, with an appetiser at Cueva Verde and a barbecue at Cala Vella.
  • If you are setting off from the old town: the Deluxe on the Oasis Lux boards at the Escala Real, below the cathedral, walking distance from the centre.
  • For the smallest group: the Oasis Blue, with a maximum of 22 people. It is the most expensive.
  • For an afternoon as a couple: the adults-only sunset trip on the Oasis Lux.

Prices: direct versus platforms

Direct, the Premium costs €89 to €93 depending on the date (a little less with the web discount). On GetYourGuide there are two trips that match Oasis's in format and price, although we can't confirm they are theirs: a premium catamaran to Cueva Verde and Cala Vella from €82, rated 4.7, and a catamaran for up to 22 people with a glass of cava and finger food from €89.10. Before paying, check in the listing which company runs the trip and which boat it is.

With Oasis only water is included (plus the glass of cava on the Blue and the sunset trip) and snorkel gear costs €20: bring your own mask and budget for the bar.

What travellers say

Oasis has displayed Tripadvisor's certificate of excellence since 2017, and the GetYourGuide listing that matches its Premium is rated 4.7. What makes or breaks the day are these details:

  • The quay. The Oasis Lux leaves from the Escala Real, next to the Moll Vell (the old pier); the Oasis II and the Blue from the Golondrinas quay, opposite the Auditòrium. They are about 1.5 km apart: check your ticket. We explain it in boat trips from Palma port.
  • The rules. Oasis doesn't allow fancy dress or stag and hen parties that weren't declared when booking. If you want a party, look at the party boat in Mallorca.
  • The old notice. The Deluxe listing still carries an old note banning alcohol on board; it is out of date, as the same page advertises its bar.
  • The afternoon. The embat (afternoon sea breeze) picks up after midday and roughens the bay from around 14:00; the morning departure is calmer.

How to book and cancel

On its website, Oasis refunds the full amount if you cancel at least 24 hours in advance. The person booking must be an adult. For questions about the boat, quay or groups, the phone number is +34 672 100 424.

How to book with Oasis without surprises

  1. Choose the trip by boat: Oasis II, Lux or Blue.
  2. Check your boat's quay: Escala Real for the Lux, Golondrinas for the other two.
  3. Check whether your date is high season (June to mid-September): the price goes up.
  4. If it's a stag or hen party, say so and ask first: without notice it won't be accepted.
  5. Bring your own mask and allow for spending at the bar.
