Reviews of Civitatis in Mallorca are good overall and the numbers back them up: 4.5 on Trustpilot and few one-star reviews. For a boat trip in Palma it's a sensible choice, particularly if you're comfortable with a Spanish company, but it doesn't run the trip itself and its terms leave you little room when the sea turns rough.

Who Civitatis are
Civitatis Tours, S.L. is a company based on the Gran Vía in Madrid. It describes itself as an intermediary: it sells the booking and local suppliers run the activity. Its general terms, revised in September, are at civitatis.com/es/condiciones-generales.
It works just like GetYourGuide or Viator: you pay the platform, the boat belongs to another company. The practical difference is that it's a Spanish company, with its terms published in Spanish.
Which boats Civitatis sells in Palma
Civitatis had 47 activities in Palma when we checked. These are the sea-based ones and the most useful for comparison:
| Activity | Civitatis price | Rating |
|---|---|---|
| Catamaran around the Bay of Palma | €59 | 9/10 from 308 reviews |
| Sightseeing boat trip in Palma | from €19 | Among the cheapest trips in the bay |
| Luxury sailing boat, 6 h | €140 | A long day under sail |
| Llaüt with skipper | from €590 per group | Maximum 5 people, 5 h |
| Sóller train + boat to Sa Calobra | €65 | 8.3/10 from 1,043 reviews |
| Jet-ski tour of the bay | from €99 | 30 min, with an instructor |
The skippered llaüt (a traditional Mallorcan boat) leaves from the Real Club Náutico de Palma (meeting point at the San Telmo chapel, next to the club entrance). It takes in Cala Major with views of Marivent, stops for an hour's swim at Illetes and carries on along the Punta Negra coast. It includes an English-speaking skipper, an aperitif, three drinks per person, snorkel gear and a paddleboard; cocktails are extra (€12). It can be cancelled free of charge up to 48 hours before. More options in the private boat in Palma guide.
The jet ski leaves from the Club Nàutic Cala Gamba, between Palma and Can Pastilla, with an instructor: it's the legal way to ride one without a licence, on a guided excursion. We explain it in water toys.

Prices: Civitatis vs booking direct
Civitatis comes out well here. Compared with the fares the operators publish:
- The €59 bay catamaran costs the same as Magic Catamarans' Bahía de Palma trip on its website (€59, 5 h with a barbecue at Cala Vella).
- The sightseeing cruise from €19 matches Mallorca City Boat, which charges €19 for 55 minutes from the Escala Real (the royal steps) on the Moll Vell.
- The €65 train-and-boat combo is the same price as the "A tu aire" (independent) option sold direct by tourmallorca, partner of the Sóller train.
- Admission to Palma Aquarium, €30.50, matches the official adult fare.
In other words, on these products you don't pay more than the equivalent direct fare. What changes are the cancellation terms, which may differ on the operator's website. If you're torn between platforms for a catamaran, compare GetYourGuide's offer too:

What travellers say about Civitatis
When we checked, Civitatis was rated 4.5 out of 5 on Trustpilot from more than 195,000 reviews, with only 5% one-star: the highest score of the platforms we reviewed.
The recurring complaints: it's hard to speak to anyone despite advertising 24/7 support, some meeting points are poorly signposted and there are cancellations without notice. For a boat in Palma, the second one hurts most: between the Paseo Marítimo, the Moll Vell and the yacht clubs there are several pontoons. Confirm the exact spot with our guide to departures from Palma port.
How to book and cancel on Civitatis
Each activity sets its own cancellation policy on its listing. The Palma llaüt, for example, can be cancelled free of charge up to 48 hours before; other activities use different deadlines. If the supplier can't run the activity and offers you an alternative you don't accept, Civitatis refunds you straight away.
How to book a boat on Civitatis
- Read the cancellation policy for that specific listing, not the general one.
- Compare the price with the operator's website: on the Palma boats we compared it was the same.
- Note the exact meeting point and, if in doubt, confirm it with the supplier.
- The day before, check the wind forecast and decide before the cancellation window closes.
Alternatives to Civitatis
- GetYourGuide: more catamarans and trips around the bay, free cancellation up to 24 hours before and a pay-later option.
- Click-Mallorca: local agency in Port d'Alcúdia, with support via WhatsApp.
- Booking direct: the boat trip comparison and the list of operators tell you who runs each trip.
Is Civitatis reliable in Mallorca?
Yes. It's a Spanish company rated 4.5 on Trustpilot with only 5% one-star reviews. It acts as an intermediary, so the trip is run by a local supplier.
Is Civitatis more expensive than booking direct?
On the Palma boats we compared, no: the bay catamaran (€59), the sightseeing cruise (€19) and the train with boat to Sa Calobra (€65) cost the same as the direct fare for equivalent trips.
What boat trips does Civitatis have in Palma?
A catamaran around the bay, a sightseeing cruise from €19, a 6-hour luxury sailing trip, a private llaüt from €590 per group, a jet ski with an instructor and the Sóller train and Sa Calobra boat combo.
Will Civitatis refund me if the weather is bad?
Only if the activity doesn't go ahead. If the supplier goes out in bad weather, its terms treat the service as delivered. Check the forecast and cancel within the deadline if you're not sure.
How much is the Civitatis catamaran in Palma?
€59 per adult, rated 9 out of 10 when we checked.
